Blank Atlas share new single "If You Can’t Beat Them, Join Them"

Bristol trio Blank Atlas have recently dropped their latest single, "If You Can’t Beat Them, Join Them". Known for their fusion of hardcore grit and polished harmonies, the band’s new track takes their sound in a heavier, punkier direction while staying true to their energetic roots.

The single is an unapologetic mix of hardcore-inspired riffs, layered breakdowns, and impeccably tight three-part harmonies. The combination creates a playful yet commanding dynamic, nodding to the thriving pop-punk and hardcore crossover scene.

Described by bassist Chris Simpson as a deliberate shift:

“We wanted to put something out that felt really different to our last album, heavier, punkier, weirder. We thought that it maybe sounded a bit too hardcore punk for our usual stuff, but that’s a really thriving scene at the moment, so we joked that if you can’t beat them, join them.”

"If You Can’t Beat Them, Join Them" follows a packed year for the band, highlighted by a festival-heavy schedule across the UK and Ireland, including a standout morning set at 2000 Trees. The performance earned buzz for its electric energy, further solidifying Blank Atlas as one to watch in the underground scene. The single officially launches a fresh chapter for the band.
