Winona Fighter unleash explosive new single "WLBRN ST TVRN"

Punk rock upstarts Winona Fighter have dropped an electrifying new music video for their latest single, "WLBRN ST TVRN." Capturing the raw intensity of their live performances, the video features dynamic footage from their spring tour with Bayside and Armor For Sleep.

Frontwoman and multi-instrumentalist Coco Kinnon shares the backstory of "WLBRN ST TVRN":

“The song was born out of our frustration with trying to fit into Nashville's non-country scene, especially amid a wave of ‘TikTok punk’ artists. Despite our years of DIY touring and a strong local following, we often felt overlooked. Writing this song was a release of that frustration.”

Kinnon describes the track’s sound:

“I aimed for a thrash punk vibe with big drums, fat riffs, and honest, sometimes satirical lyrics. Bands like The Descendents and The Dead Kennedys inspired me with their ability to mix intensity with a touch of humor.”

The live performance video embodies the track's spirit, celebrating the band's roots and their dedication to creating music that resonates with their audience.

Kinnon adds:

“I love this song, even if some find the lyrics embarrassing. In a scene where authenticity is rare, I'm proud of what we’ve created.”

Winona Fighter is set to perform at major festivals including Riot Fest, Oceans Calling Music Festival, South Star Music Festival, Louder Than Life, and Aftershock. Known for their energetic live shows and inclusive atmosphere, the band continues to make waves in the punk scene.

The band, featuring Coco Kinnon, lead guitarist Dan Fuson, and bassist/producer Austin Luther, recently signed to Rise Records and has released singles like “I’m In The Market To Please No One” and “Johnny’s Dead.” Following a successful SXSW debut and a US tour with Bayside, Finch, and Armor For Sleep, Winona Fighter is gearing up for more new music and electrifying performances throughout the year.
