Episode 43

Last night’s episode of The Scene with me your host Thom with an H, was another banger of a show featuring the likes of FAST BLOOD, Owen and Fortune Teller as well as unsigned spotlight tracks from Clean Shirt and POLLY.

I opened the show with a beautiful slice of West Coast emo “Drip From The Fountain” by Milly. “Drip From The Fountain” gives us a taste of Milly’s forthcoming album YOUR OWN BECOMING which is released in June. Following “Drip Around The Fountain”, the first half of the show showcased tunes from FRESH, The Menstrual Cramps, KEG, and our first unsigned spotlight track, "Swaying” by Clean Shirt, If you want to keep tabs on Clean Shirt go follow them on their Instagram page @itscleanshirt. Before the news break, I wrapped up the first half with the brand new single “Lifted Fingers” by Norwich’s finest noise makers Other Half, who just announced this week they will be dropping their third album Dark Ageism in June, I have had a sneaky preview and I have to say it is the best thing I have heard this year.

Post-news break, I resumed with “sunDae” the brand new banger from BEX the track is BEX’s first release as a fully self-funded musician. After "sunDae," the second half of the show packed punches with tracks from Slow Joy, CLT DRIP, Lake Malice, and our second unsigned spotlight track, “MOTHER KNOWS BEST” by POLLY, you can catch POLLY live at a headline gig at The Old Hairdressers in Glasgow on the 27th of this month. Wrapping up this week's show was “Rainbows” by the amazing Dead Pony the Scottish band just dropped their banging debut album IGNORE THIS on Friday.
