Episode 75

Last night’s episode of The Scene with me your host Thom with an H, was another banger of a show featuring the likes of Jeff Ubetcha, Common Sage, and Diva Bleach as well as unsigned spotlight tracks from Ómoia and Birdman Cult.

I kicked off the show with “For The Weekend” by Peter Xan. “For The Weekend” can be found on Peter Xan’s latest ep Empty Space which came out in November. After “For The Weekend” by Peter Xan, the first half of the show showcased tunes from itoldyouiwouldeatyou, Winona Fighter, Problem Patterns, and our first unsigned spotlight track the brilliant “All Monsters Are Human (Ft. Cj Lev)” by Ómoia. “All Monsters Are Human” can be found on Ómoia’s new EP The Weight of Silence which came out on Friday. Before the news break, I wrapped up the first half with “Another Day” by Sacred Paws. “Another Day” is the duo’s first new music after a five year hiatus.

Post-news break, I resumed with  “Parting Gift” the latest acoustic-led single from Sincere Engineer. What makes “Parting Gift” that little more special is that it features a guest appearance from Brendan Kelly the frontman of Deanna’s favourite band of all time The Lawrence Arms. After “Parting Gift (feat. Brendan Kelly - The Lawrence Arms)” by Sincere Engineer, the second half of the show packed the punches with tracks from Coheed & Cambria, Coilguns, Winter Gardens, and our second unsigned spotlight the awesome “Snakes” by Birdman Cult. I wrapped up last night’s episode with the massive banger “Ghosts” by zzzahara. “Ghosts” comes from one of our most anticipated albums of 2025 zzzahara’s Spiral Your Way Out.
