If Not For Me drops intense new single “Say It To My Face” featuring Left To Suffer

Fans of raw metalcore should get ready as If Not For Me returns with a fierce new track, “Say It To My Face,” out now via Thriller Records. The Pennsylvania-based four-piece is known for their hard-hitting music and emotionally charged lyrics, and this latest release brings them together with heavy-hitters Left To Suffer for an impactful collaboration.

“Say It To My Face” dives deep into themes of betrayal and confronting the disingenuous people who talk behind closed doors. Lead vocalist Patrick Glover pulls no punches with lyrics that cut to the core, giving a voice to those who’ve been frustrated by the rising trend of faceless confrontation.

Reflecting on the song’s creation, Glover shares:

“I wrote this song about all the people in my life over the years that love to talk about me behind closed doors but have nothing to say when they see me in person. I feel like it’s gotten increasingly more normalized and just easier to hide behind a screen instead of facing somebody to talk out your problems.”

Musically, “Say It To My Face” is a powerhouse track. With gritty guitar riffs from Hayden Calhoun, a thunderous rhythm section courtesy of Zac Allen on bass and Cody Frain on drums, and Glover’s potent vocal delivery, the song builds a tense and dynamic atmosphere. The collaboration with Left To Suffer brings an extra punch, especially in the song’s intense breakdowns, where the lyric “Speaking out of place, I hope you bite your tongue” echoes the band’s frustration with modern social dynamics.

Beyond its musical power, “Say It To My Face” taps into relatable frustrations, making it not only a track for metal fans but also a release resonant with anyone who has faced similar betrayals. This track follows a strong year for If Not For Me, who have been on a tear with their latest album, Everything You Wanted, and have recently toured with bands like Electric Callboy, Bury Tomorrow, and Hollow Front.

Fans will get another chance to catch If Not For Me live this December at the Christmas Burns Red show on 14 December in Lancaster, PA, where they’ll share the stage with big names like August Burns Red and The Ghost Inside.

Since breaking onto the scene, If Not For Me has continued to build a dedicated fan base, amassing millions of streams and a solid presence in the metalcore world. “Say It To My Face” captures their unfiltered energy and the honest, powerful lyrics fans have come to expect.
