Episode 80: Sugar in the Tank
Last night’s episode of The Scene with me your host Thom with an H, was another banger of a show featuring the likes of Heading North, ALT BLK ERA, and Beach Riot as well as unsigned spotlight tracks from Exit Wound and Onat Önol.
In 2025 we will be kicking off every episode of the scene with a trans artist and kicking our first episode of the year was “Elephant” by the brilliant jasmine.4.t. “Elephant” comes from jasmine.4.t debut album which comes out later this month. After “Elephant” by jasmine.4.t, the first half of the show showcased tunes from House Parties, Regal Cheer, BEX, and our first unsigned spotlight track the brilliant “Guess My Sex” by Exit Wound. “Guess My Sex” comes from the Indian punk group’s debut 2-track demo that you can stream now. Before the news break, I wrapped up the first half with the brilliant “Sugar in the Tak” the brilliant first single by Julien Bake & TORRES.
Post-news break, I resumed with something a little special the unraveled version fo “Cut” by Sweet Pill. Cut is our first taste of Sweet Pill’s brilliant Unraveled EP, which comes out at the end of the month. After “Cut (Unraveled)” by Sweet Pill, the second half of the show packed the punches with tracks from False Reality, THROATCUT., ONE OK ROCK, and our second unsigned spotlight the awesome “To The Siren” by Onat Önol.
